About the event

Kenzans, or pin frogs, are a classic floral mechanic that date back to the 1800s, long before floral foam got its hold on the floral industry.

Learn how to create these gorgeous waste-free arrangements with Katie, the owner of Blooms and Twine Floral Design, who has been using these traditional Japanese floral artistry mechanics her entire life.

You'll leave with foundational knowledge of floral selection, preparation, and arrangement, as well as a fledgling floral designer kit containing everything you'll need to continue the practice at home.

This tablescape from Katie's 2020 spread in Rock N Roll Bride magazine features florals that seem to sprout out of the runner on their own, but the secret is pin frogs hidden in the fabric's folds.
